While she was still in law school, Ceylin’s father was framed for a crime he didn’t commit. There is the law and then there is justice, and ever since her father was sent to prison, Ceylin knows which side she’s on. Ceylin becomes a defense attorney and is known as a brave, dynamic and reckless advocate, respected by her peers but constantly in trouble with prosecutors and the police.

Ilgaz is a no-nonsense prosecutor who does everything by the book. His father is the well-respected chief of homicide of the Istanbul Police Department, and it’s from him that Ilgaz gets his incorruptible sense of right and wrong. For him, the law and justice are the same thing. So when Ceylin comes to him looking for back-channel info to help clear a client, Ilgaz throws her out of his office.

But after his brother is accused of murder, it’s Ceylin he goes to for help.

The side-by-side photo of İnci and Metin that Ceylin finds forces the delicate balance between Ilgaz and the two again. While Ilgaz tries to cope with the shock of the lie his father told him; Ceylin pushes the boundaries of Ilgaz and Eren as well as herself in order to find İnci's murderer. This situation gradually attracts Pars' attention. Pars is determined to have Çınar in detention, both to avenge his sister Neva and because he sincerely wants Ilgaz to make a mistake. Ceylin, on the other hand, has to hide from her family that she is defending Çınar.
