Adam and Havva have grown up worlds apart. He is the son of an Irish Catholic priest, she the daughter of a Muslim family that adheres strongly to its traditions. And yet, though their lives seem to be poles apart, fate brings them together, both working as research assistants at a top university. After two years of a happy yet secret relationship, Adam decides to propose to his beloved Havva. Although it’s her only wish to marry Adam, she knows that her conservative father will never accept their union. Nonetheless Adam tries everything to win the favour of Havva's family, converting religion and rejecting his own religious upbringing and traditions. But turning his back on his own family’s wishes doesn’t necessarily make things easier for either him or Havva as they seek a future together...
